High and Dry System

Technical Specification:

  • 4 part block system 
  • Maximum height 4 storey (ground + 3 floors)
  • Maximum span 3.6 metres column to column (higher spans with use of a ring beam to 6 metres can be achieved)
  • Load bearing capacity 1.2 tonnes per square metre
  • Mix ratio 5:4:2
  • Demould while the Concrete is Wet for columns waffle slabs demoulded next day from the setting form and cured for up-to 28 days.
  • Maximum Output: 50 waffles per 8 hours or 80 column blocks

Product Description:

High and Dry system creates a raised load-bearing platform for use in single or multi-storey construction. This ingenious system has been designed to reduce the quantity of concrete required by up to 40%! High and Dry also drastically saves on the amount of timber shuttering required to construct a solid raised platform and can also be used for fast floor construction. The end result gives a pleasant aesthetic coffered ceiling.

Table Waffle Frame:

High quality steel, precision laser cut,  construction made with durable powder coated finish. Made to fit both the electric and manual vibrating table.

Waffle Mould:

ABS vacuum formed mould for forming the waffle with internal steel bracing and wooden frame. This is a setting mould meaning the waffles are demoulded 24 hours after being cast.

Claw Mould:

Steel mould for making 4 waffle claws at a time. The claws can be used with Acro jacks to support the Waffles in place during construction.

Column Top Slab Mould:

The column top slab sits on top of structural columns in order to integrate the columns and waffles for structural integrity. Plywood base with powder coated steel frame and polypropylene and polyurethane plugs for creating holes for rebar.

Column Block Mould:

The block’s design enables the columns to incorporate steel rebar for added strength.  Precision laser cut and welded construction with painted finish. This is a casting mould meaning blocks are demoulded wet, allowing you to produce up to 200 blocks a day
